Water Tank Cleaning And Disinfection

Cleaning and disinfecting cold water storage tanks is key to keeping your water source to the outlets in your building fresh and clear from bacteria and dirt. Left untreated this could become hazardous to the occupants of the building. Maddison Water Hygiene carry out all cleans and disinfection’s to the highest industry standards along with a full detailed report on completion, including before and after photo evidence of works. 

Pipework Disinfection

This process is to disinfect and recommission pipework from the incoming mains to the hot and cold outlets in the building. All works are completed to the industry standards of compliance. Examples of when this would be needed include if contamination is found in your water system pipework or if your water system has not been used for a length of time.

Water Sampling and Testing

Maddison Water Hygiene carry out all bacterial testing including Legionella, E-coli, TVC, Pseudomonas species/aeruginosa and coliforms. Samples can be drawn from various outlets in cold and hot taps, Cold water storage tanks inlet or stored water. Closed systems, swimming pools, Hot water plant including calorifiers or water heaters.

Legionella Control

Routine monitoring, monthly, quarterly or annually. All temperatures of hot and cold systems logged into your own on site personal log book. This will help to ensure personal responsibilities for the water system hygiene are being met. We will clearly identify duties and how to comply with health and safety regulations. All our engineers are trained to perform these type of works.

Risk Assessment

Buildings with out of date risk assessments or ones that have never had one produced for their water systems would benefit from this. All full list of assets and risk would be identified. Schematic drawings would also be constructed within.

Pre-Commission Cleaning

Any water system that is left unused for a long period of time could develop bacterial disease such as legionella. All systems would be chemically cleaned from source to outlet to ensure fresh clean water for the building users.

Kitchen Extract Cleaning (Grease Removal)

To prevent risk of fire, grease deposits and harmful bacteria within your kitchen ventilation system, it is suggested to have regular extract cleaning completed. Failure to carry out proper cleaning and maintenance could breach Environmental Health Regulations and WILL invalidate your fire insurance policy.

Calorifiers Descale

To maintain calorifiers we recommend chemically descaling the plant to remove loose scale. This will enhance the calorifiers performance and extend its life. We are able to internally inspect calorifiers to check corrosion levels.
